We had a perfect Puppy Party! It gave us a chance to celebrate our love for puppies and to learn more about Siberian Huskies. We had been reading the award winning book, Shiloh, in class and had been studying about how animals in the Arctic adapt to such cold climates.
For our party, I invited my daughter, Chelsea and her Siberian Husky, Sisco to come spend part of the day with us. The students had opportunities to train Sisco to do amazing doggie tricks. We really had a lot of fun chasing Sisco all over the playground. Then, we finished our party off with delicious cupcakes and a Siberian Husky movie entitled, “Eight Below.” My students called it “The Best Party Ever!"
Sadie, Brynlee, and Kenzlee were all part of the "Husky Puppy Club."

We had fun wearing our costumes to school, playing lots of games in class, and in creating art patterns on our paper pumpkins.
We sure are thankful for our parent volunteers, who helped us design some magnificent works of art. Also, we enjoyed eating lots of
delicious food and talking to both of our online school friends. We have missed our online friends so much.
We hope everyone has a very HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

We had our first "Lunch Bunch Crew" meeting today.
We enjoyed listening to Mrs. Chavez read us part of a story while we ate our lunch.
We are reading a book entitled, A Tale Dark & Grimm, by Adam Gidwitz.

September 11, 2020 - Patriot's Day
We learned about Patriot Day today. It's a day to remember the patriots who lost their lives on 9-11-2001. There were about 3,000 people who lost their lives on that day. We wanted to do something today to honor those who passed away. We showed our respect to them by being united as Americans and as Utahns. The girls on the playground were spelling "Utah" with their hands and arms. They are so CREATIVE!
Some of our 4th Grade students like to be CREATIVE and show RESILIENCE by making elastic bracelets and jump ropes at recess. Everyone is invited!

Every student gets opportunities to be a leader! In fact, every student has a unique, classroom job. Students get a new assignment each week, which helps all students develop a sense of pride and natural leadership qualities.
Students earn "Super Star Tickets" for getting 100% on tests, for being risk takers, for exhibiting outstanding leadership qualities, and for being a "SUPER STAR." Every week, tickets are drawn and students get to choose prizes from the Treasure Box.
We are very BUSY BEES!!!!!
